According to Marca, the Spanish newspaper, Portuguese star Joao Felix has not met expectations during his time at Atletico Madrid, and now faces a significant challenge with his move to Chelsea. If he fails to succeed at Chelsea, it could spell the end of his football career.

Felix’s talent is undeniable; he is considered one of the most technically gifted players in today’s game. However, his career has yet to fully demonstrate his full potential. Since Atletico Madrid signed him for 127 million euros, Felix has been under immense pressure. Although he initially performed well, over time he gradually lost his place in the team and was eventually marginalized.

During his time at Atletico Madrid, Felix did not live up to expectations. Apart from occasional standout moments, his transfer was widely regarded as a failed investment. The responsibility does not lie solely with him; the team, club, and coaching staff also share some blame. While there are talented players like Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez, the overall strength is not enough to compete for the Premier League title.
