UEFA and Multiple Clubs Officially Mourn Eriksson: Rest in Peace, Thank You for Everything You've Done

On August 26, former England national team manager Sven-Göran Eriksson passed away due to pancreatic cancer at the age of 76. UEFA and multiple clubs have expressed their condolences.

UEFA: “On behalf of European football, every member of UEFA is deeply saddened by the passing of Sven-Göran Eriksson. As a beloved figure in football, Sven led the IFK Göteborg club to win the UEFA Cup in 1982, and led Lazio to win the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999. Rest in peace, Sven.”

Lazio: “Sven-Göran Eriksson, 1948-2024. Thank you for everything you did for us, coach.”

Inter Milan: “The Inter Milan Football Club mourns the passing of Sven-Göran Eriksson and stands together with his family and the entire football community during this sorrowful time.”

Liverpool: “Rest in peace, Sven-Göran Eriksson. Our thoughts are with Sven’s family and friends at this extremely sad time.”
