Brentford have officially announced the signing of defender Van den Berg from Liverpool. Van den Berg is expected to face his former club on the pitch just two days later.
The Bees have signed Van den Berg to a five-year contract. The player has only made four appearances for Liverpool’s first team and was loaned out to Preston, Schalke 04, and Mainz in recent seasons for experience.
Brentford manager Frank said: “Van den Berg is already a high-level center-back, and he is young with room for improvement. This is a great signing.”
