According to AS Newspaper, following the riots that occurred during the recent Madrid derby, LaLiga is demanding the dissolution of the Atlético Madrid fan group involved.
The Atlético Madrid fan group in question is “Atleti Front”, and sources indicate that although Atlético assured that legal reasons prevent them from taking action against Atleti Front, LaLiga will pursue criminal action against this supergroup, with the club’s employers urging for its dissolution.
Last Friday, LaLiga submitted a letter to the committee opposing violence by Atleti Front, accusing them of violent behavior during the derby match against Real Madrid. In addition to urging the dissolution of Atleti Front, LaLiga also seeks measures through its criminal actions, such as closing their meeting places and suspending activities conducted by the organization.
LaLiga recorded 142 incidents involving Atleti Front between the 15/16 and 22/23 seasons and will also request a ban on individuals involved from entering the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. Additionally, LaLiga is seeking cooperation from the National Committee for Combating Sports Violence and support from the National Prosecutor’s Office to ensure these procedures are executed with maximum efficiency.
Now, LaLiga hopes for stricter measures against violent behavior and also seeks the dissolution of Atleti Front.
