Relevo has learned that Rodri recently went to Barcelona for further examinations by Dr. Cugat, and tomorrow he will undergo surgery by Dr. Reyes in Madrid. Manchester City has readily accepted the player’s decision.
Dr. Reyes holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra and is one of the renowned experts in sports orthopedics. Last season, he treated players such as Courtois, Edel, and Gulher, among others. Throughout his career, he has served as a medical consultant for professional teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA), Cleveland Browns (NFL), and as an orthopedic advisor for football clubs like Atletico Madrid, Getafe, Real Zaragoza, as well as for the Spanish Gymnastics, Judo, and Karate Federations.
This is the most serious injury Rodri has faced so far, but Manchester City has not hindered the international player from receiving treatment in Madrid.
The club respects the player’s decision, and they only hope everything goes well so they can see Rodri smiling on the pitch again. The road to recovery begins this Wednesday.
