UK media outlet Team Talk reports that both North London rivals have set their sights on Sporting CP’s striker Jikels.
The Swedish international, Jikels, is 26 years old and plays in the front midfield. He has previously played for teams such as Brighton, St. Pauli, Swansea, and Coventry, scoring 41 goals in 121 games in the Championship. In 2023, he joined Sporting CP and made 39 appearances in the Portuguese league, scoring 39 goals with remarkable efficiency, helping Sporting CP win the Portuguese league title last season and earning the top scorer award (29 goals).
Jikels is one of the most sought-after forwards in the current market. It is reported that both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in him, and Liverpool, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen. Jikels has a release clause of £83 million (€100 million) with Sporting CP, and his contract runs until 2028. There is a high likelihood that he will leave the team in January.
