Romano wrote in his column that Chilwell has returned to the Chelsea first-team squad and has been allowed to rejoin full training.
Romano wrote: “Chilwell is back with Chelsea’s first team, but he won’t have much playing time. Because Maresca will still use Cucurella and new signing Vega.”
“Although Chilwell will also be involved in the competition for a starting position, it is expected that Chelsea will continue to try to sell Chilwell and send him to another club during the January winter window.”
The accomplished left-back, Chilwell, is no longer in Maresca’s plans. Several teams, including Manchester United, have been linked with a move for Chilwell, but none of these transfers ultimately materialized.
