According to UK media outlet Team Talk, Chelsea are on the hunt for a new striker, with Bonifacus from Bayer Leverkusen being their top choice. Additionally, Osimhen from Napoli and Jokole from Sporting CP remain targets for the Blues.
Bonifacus has caught Chelsea’s attention due to his impressive performances in the Bundesliga. He helped Bayer Leverkusen secure the Bundesliga title last season, scoring 14 goals in the league. The player’s contract with Leverkusen runs until 2028, but his transfer fee is expected to be significantly lower than that of Jokole and Osimhen.
Osimhen was very close to joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but the deal fell through as the two clubs failed to reach an agreement at the final stage. Currently, Osimhen is on loan at Galatasaray and is also linked with Paris Saint-Germain and other clubs.
Chelsea have had a good start to the new Premier League season, but head coach Enzo Maresca is still looking to strengthen the team’s attack. Despite the current good form of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, there are reports suggesting that Jackson is not part of Maresca’s long-term plans.
