Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has officially announced that they will continue to host a special event called “Dog of the Match” this season. At every home game, a lucky puppy’s photo or video will be displayed on the big screen, which is a heartwarming initiative.
The club has set up an official fan club named “Tottenham Hotspaw” specifically for dog lovers within the supporter base. Members of this fan club can post pictures of their dogs in online selection threads before each home game, giving them a chance to have their pet featured on the big screen at the stadium.
In today’s Europa League home match against Qarabag, a black puppy named “Ten” will be fortunate enough to appear on the big screen at Tottenham’s home ground. Ten is a three-year-old Whippet who enjoys fetching tennis balls and curling up on the couch to watch Tottenham matches. According to Ten, its sprint speed surpasses that of the fastest player in the Premier League last season, Vinicius Junior.
Also, during today’s match, a stray dog named Sienna will be introduced. Sienna is a mixed breed that was abandoned by her previous owner and is now cared for by the charity All Dogs Matter, hoping to find a new home.
Tottenham Hotspur has stated that they will continue to collaborate with All Dogs Matter to help these stray puppies find new homes through promotions at their home games.
