On September 24, UEFA officially announced that the San Siro stadium in Milan will not host the final of the Champions League for the 2026-27 season.
The announcement is as follows:
“Due to the inability of the Milan City Council to guarantee that the San Siro stadium and its surrounding areas will not be affected by renovation work before and after the 2027 UEFA Champions League final, it has been decided not to award the hosting rights to Milan, and to restart the bidding process to find a suitable venue for the final. The decision on the final venue is expected to be made between May and June 2025.”
