Kawasaki Frontale officially announced that former French international Bafétimbi Gomis has reached a consensus with the club to terminate his contract and leave.
Gomis, who is 39 years old and plays as a striker, came through the youth academy at Saint-Étienne. He has played for Lyon, Swansea, Marseille, Galatasaray, and Al-Hilal, and has also been capped for the French national team. He joined Kawasaki Frontale from Galatasaray in August 2023 but has not performed well since joining, failing to score in the league last season and managing only 3 goals in 9 games this season so far.
