This weekend marks the Singapore Grand Prix of the 2024 F1 season. After the second free practice session on Friday, Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu, who drives for the Sauber team, stated that the car’s speed is still not fast enough, but this was an expected situation.
Zhou Guanyu said: “Today went relatively smoothly, except that the car’s speed is still not fast enough, which is also something we expected.”
“Fortunately, it feels better than it did on Fridays in Baku, and the car was more balanced during specific windows. The team’s setup has been good, unlike the previous race where it was unmanageable. I believe we can improve our lap times by a few tenths of a second on Saturday.”
After the first 17 rounds of the season, Sauber remains the only team with zero points. In the current driver standings, apart from Nicholas Latifi who has left the paddock, only Zhou Guanyu and Bottas have yet to score any points.
