October 8 – The Major League Soccer (MLS) has announced the nominees for the “Landon Donovan” MLS Regular Season MVP award. The list includes 34 nominees, among whom are Messi and Suárez, both forwards for Inter Miami.
This season, Messi contributed 17 goals and 15 assists in 18 games; Suárez provided 18 goals and 7 assists in 26 games, helping the team win the 2024 MLS Regular Season Championship.
Voting for the award will open on October 7 local time, close on October 21, and the winner will be officially announced on October 24.
