With the Braves and the Mets each winning one of their makeup games, both teams ultimately advanced to the playoffs, squeezing out the Diamondbacks. Now, the matchups for this season’s MLB playoffs have been announced.

AL:

1st seed Yankees receive a bye in the first round, 2nd seed Guardians receive a bye in the first round

Wild Card Series: Astros vs. Tigers (winner faces Guardians in Division Series) Orioles vs. Royals (winner faces Yankees in Division Series)

NL:

1st seed Dodgers receive a bye in the first round, 2nd seed Phillies receive a bye in the first round

Wild Card Series: Brewers vs. Mets (winner faces Phillies in Division Series) Padres vs. Braves (winner faces Dodgers in Division Series)

According to the format, the Wild Card Series is a best-of-three, the Division Series is a best-of-five, and the League Championship Series as well as the World Series are both best-of-seven. The Wild Card Series will kick off early tomorrow morning.
