Gary O’Neill: Very Regretful About Mosquera’s Injury

At 0:30 on September 29, the sixth round of the Premier League will see Wolves host Liverpool at their home ground. Before the game, O’Neill spoke about the absence of key defender Mosquera.

Gary O'Neill: Very Regretful About Mosquera's Injury

“He’s a great kid, so I feel sad and regretful about this, no matter the situation, he always gives his all and handles everything correctly. His absence is a significant loss for us. He has shown the level we expected. From the perspective of the team and the squad, this is obviously a big blow, but it brings opportunities for other players. For example, Pond is now closer to getting playing time.

He was on loan at Stockport last year and recently played for us in the cup matches. He was very excited about the opportunity to play in the Premier League. I feel very sorry for Mosquera; this is a blow to the team and our current situation, but we have a good mindset within the team and won’t let something like this stop us from pursuing our goals. We will always encounter setbacks during the Premier League season, and this one, in particular, is a big blow to Mosquera personally, but we will find a way and continue to fight for points.”
