After careful consideration, it has been decided that Jesús Tato will no longer serve as the head coach of Shenzhen Xin Pengcheng Football Team starting from today. The club believes that this is the right time to inject new momentum into the team to ensure that we dedicate ourselves fully to achieving our goals for the season.
Tato took up the mantle in April 2023 under challenging circumstances, leading the team as interim head coach, overcoming numerous difficulties, and securing the China League One championship three rounds ahead of schedule, successfully promoting to the top league. We sincerely thank Tato for his hard work since joining the club in the 2022 season, as well as the significant honors he brought to the team, which will forever be a part of the club’s history.
We wish Tato and his coaching staff all the best in their future endeavors both professionally and personally.
Shenzhen Xin Pengcheng currently stands 14th with 6 wins, 6 draws, and 15 losses after 27 league matches, recently suffering six consecutive defeats and hovering on the brink of the relegation zone.
