Foreign Media: Mourinho Fined by Turkish Football Federation for Missing Post-Match Press Conference

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Mourinho was penalized by the Turkish Football Association for not attending the press conference after Fenerbahçe’s loss.

In the sixth round of the Turkish Super League, Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe lost 1-3 at home to Galatasaray. This defeat not only marked Fenerbahçe’s first loss in the league this season but also kept them in second place, with their gap from the league leaders, Galatasaray, widening to five points.

After the game, there was heated discussion on social media. The official account of Galatasaray posted a book cover titled “The Crybaby,” featuring an image of Mourinho in tears, satirizing the famous Portuguese coach.

In addition to the blow of the loss, the 61-year-old coach faced additional trouble. The Turkish Football Association decided to fine Mourinho 4000 euros because he did not attend the press conference following Fenerbahçe’s 1-3 loss to Galatasaray. According to Turkish media reports, Mourinho explained that the reason for his absence was that Galatasaray’s head coach Okan Buruk conducted a lengthy interview.
