Former National Team Player Serhat Akın Injured in Armed Attack; Turkish Football Federation Issues Condemnation

On September 27, former Turkish national team player Serhat Akın was the victim of an armed attack and sustained injuries to his foot. In response, the Turkish Football Federation released a statement condemning the incident.

The Turkish Football Federation stated: “We are deeply saddened to learn that our former national team player Serhat Akın has been injured in an armed attack. We strongly condemn this heinous attack and wish Serhat Akın, who is currently being treated at the hospital, a speedy recovery.”

Serhat Akın is currently 43 years old and during his playing career, he played for teams such as Fenerbahçe, Anderlecht, Köln, and Karlsruher.
