On November 1, Meizhou Kejia head coach David Ristic attended the pre-match press conference for the 30th round of the 2024 Chinese Super League away match against Shandong Taishan, and stated that he would do his utmost to lead the team to successful survival.
Ristic first mentioned that the opponent is very strong, “However, no matter who we play tomorrow, our attitude will be the same. We need to show our guts in tomorrow’s match. For our current survival situation, as long as there is hope, it can give us strength.”
Regarding the possibility of Shandong Taishan fielding a rotated lineup, Ristic said, “Taishan also rotated their lineup in the previous match against Shenzhen, but they still won easily. So whether they rotate or not doesn’t matter to us; we just need to do what we should do.”
Additionally, Ristic mentioned that he would keep an eye on other ongoing matches: “If the results of other matches are unfavorable to us, we might lean more towards attacking; otherwise, I will change tactics and focus more on defense.”
“For me, my life has experienced two important moments: the first was the birth of my child, and the second was leading Meizhou Kejia to promotion. Tomorrow, I will do my best and give everything I have, hoping to welcome the third important moment in my life, which is leading the team to successful survival.”
