June 14th, Dortmund official announcement: 35-year-old Sahin takes charge as team manager.
Nuri Sahin becomes the new head coach of Borussia Dortmund, with a contract valid until June 30, 2027. Sahin made 274 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 26 goals, and won the Bundesliga title with the club in the 2011/12 season. In 2017, he lifted the German Cup trophy with the team. From 2021 to 2023, Sahin served as the head coach of Antalyaspor, a Turkish Super Lig club. Since January 2024, Sahin has been an assistant coach at Borussia Dortmund.
