At around 2:19 am, the coach’s team bus was the first to arrive. Soon after, Robert Andrich (29), a key midfielder, was joined by his wife Alicia, who returned home to Leverkusen the following afternoon.

At 2:46 am, a van filled with players’ relatives entered the camp, including head coach Julian Nagelsmann’s partner Lena Wörzemberg. Also present was Joshua Kimmich’s (29) wife Lea, with Kimmich’s eldest son choosing to accompany his father on the team bus, staying until his father finished media interviews before returning together.

On the pitch, numerous players’ families, dressed in German team jerseys, cheered on their loved ones, providing immense support. Among them were Maximilian Mittelstädt’s (27) girlfriend Lea Prince, Florian Wirtz’s (21) girlfriend Alia, Kai Havertz’s partner Sophia Weber, Niclas Füllkrug’s partner Lisa, and David Raum’s (26) wife Casie, all showing their unwavering support from the stands.

A particularly touching moment occurred when Füllkrug celebrated his crucial goal and the victory with his young daughter Emilia on the field, creating a heartwarming scene.

Nagelsmann’s decision to open the training camp to families aimed to boost team morale. Not only did he have his girlfriend Lena cheering him on, but also support from his mother Birgit and sister Vanessa, as well as pre-match video messages from family members that served as a strong foundation.

Nagelsmann emphasized, “The support of my family means a lot to me, receiving their video greetings is invaluable. Seeing Lena and my family on the sidelines is fantastic and motivates me to do better.”

To allow players to recover, Saturday was designated as a rest day, with most using the time to spend with their families. Nagelsmann hopes that this break will help the players relax after the intense match and enable them to approach the crucial Wednesday fixture against Hungary in top form.
