According to reports, Colombian international and former Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and colliding with a motorcyclist.
Photos show that the accident involved a car and a motorcycle. The rider suffered fractures in all four limbs and abdominal injuries and was taken to the Fundación Santa María de la Salud hospital for treatment.
The Antioquia Traffic and Transport Department stated: “Forward Alfredo Morelos of Atlético Nacional has been arrested. He was driving a pickup truck and caused a traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol (Level 2), resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist.”
Morelos played for Rangers for six seasons, scoring a total of 124 goals, before leaving when his contract expired in 2023. The 28-year-old player initially transferred to Santos in Brazil but returned to Colombia this summer on a loan deal.
