Jakarta – The full schedule for the 2024 MotoGP season has been released and will kick off in March 2024. This season’s series will begin with a return to the intense competition at the Losail circuit in Qatar as the opening round.
In MotoGP 2024, the rivalry among riders is set to become even more captivating. This is due to several veteran racers appearing with different manufacturers, such as Marc Márquez leaving Repsol Honda to join Gresini, and Francesco Bagnaia moving from Yamaha to strengthen Pramac.
Great riders have not hesitated to change their fortunes, leaving factory teams for satellite teams.
Overall, the 2024 MotoGP season will feature 22 rounds. Eleven races will take place before the summer break, with another eleven following it.
Aside from this excitement, there will be a notable difference in the opening rounds of the 2024 MotoGP series due to the return of the Losail Circuit in Qatar. In the 2023 MotoGP, the Losail Circuit underwent renovations, turning its race on November 19 into the 19th round.
The Qatar MotoGP is scheduled for March 10, 2024. Following that, competitors will head to Portugal’s Portimão circuit on March 24, 2024.
After Portugal, Argentina and the American MotoGP will follow consecutively on April 7 and April 14, 2024. Indonesia will also be part of the season once again.
Differently from the 2023 season, when Mandalika Circuit hosted the 15th round, in the 2024 MotoGP, Mandalika will be featured on the agenda for the 17th round, which will take place on September 29, 2024.
The name of the Kazakhstan race has reappeared on the provisional 2024 MotoGP calendar after being canceled in 2023. The Sokol International Racetrack Circuit must first pass certification. If it gets canceled again, Hungary will serve as an alternative.
