2020 MotoGP World Champion Joan Mir has admitted he is unsure how much more his body can withstand the demands of Honda’s bike.
“We have the same motorcycle as at the beginning of the season, so I cannot expect miracles,” said Mir.
“The bike has some issues and every time I come back to the garage I complain about the same things – the team knows that, and we found some directions in Jerez.
“But I don’t know how long it will take for that to change. That’s the reality.”
“I’m being honest, I don’t know how long my body can keep going like this. I thought I couldn’t take it anymore a while ago, but since I’ve made it this far, I’ll keep trying.
“Actually, I’m calmer this year. Last year was very difficult, I always felt I was riding badly. But this year the bike is worse and I’m faster, so I know the problem isn’t me.
“However, I really don’t know how much longer physically I can manage.”
