This weekend MotoGP heads to the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans, a venue that hosted the 1000th premier class Grand Prix last year, and there are numerous intriguing statistics to ponder.

11 – Of the last 22 MotoGP races held at Le Mans, half (11) have seen wet conditions during the race. The dry races were in 2004, 2010-2011, 2014-2019, and 2022-2023. (Note: There may be light rain on Sunday’s race day.)

10 – Ten current riders have stood on the podium at Le Mans: Marc Márquez, Zarco, Viñales, Miller, Bastianini, Espargaro, Alex Márquez, Quartararo, Martin, and Bagnaia.

– Five active riders have claimed pole position at Le Mans: Marc Márquez, Quartararo, Bagnaia, Zarco, and Viñales.

1954 – Both Quartararo and Zarco have the chance to become the first French rider to win at Le Mans since Pierre Monneret in 1954.

931 – If Marc Márquez triumphs this weekend, it will be his first victory in 931 days, with his last win dating back to the 2021 Emilia Romagna GP.

65 – If a Ducati rider qualifies in the top three, it will mark 65 consecutive races with a Ducati on the front row, with their last absence from the front row dating back to the 2020 Valencia GP.

51 – Should a Ducati rider finish on the podium, it will be their 51st consecutive race with a rostrum finish.

19 – Acosta will be 19 years and 353 days old on race day; should he win, he would break Marc Márquez’s record for the youngest rider to win a premier class race (previously 20 years and 63 days).

– Six riders could claim their maiden premier class victory this weekend: Alex Márquez, Raul Fernandez, Marini, Nakagami, Augusto Fernandez, and Acosta.

– Since 2019, six different riders have won the French GP in the premier class: Marc Márquez in 2019, Petrucci in 2020, Miller in 2021, Bastianini in 2022, and Bagnaia last year.

– GasGas and both Aprilia teams have the opportunity to secure their first premier class victories in France this weekend.
