Leaderboard Recap

The final round began with a somber atmosphere as players donned black and red ribbons to honor Grayson Murray, a beloved member of the PGA TOUR family who was known for wearing red and black on Sundays, colors inspired by his favorite NHL team, the Carolina Hurricanes, during final rounds.

Riley started the final round with a four-shot lead over world No. 1 Scheffler, matching the largest 54-hole advantage this season. Displaying solid play, Riley carded an even-par 70 with four birdies and four bogeys, finishing with the second-best approach score of the day and the top overall score to par. His 14-under total saw him triumph in the end.

Scheffler, unable to mount a comeback, shot a 1-over 71 with two birdies and three bogeys, settling for a share of second at 9 under. This marked the 11th top-10 finish in 12 events for the four-time winner this season.

Bradley, who matched the day’s best round with a 3-under 67, also finished T2 alongside Scheffler.

Riley, acknowledging the “pressure” he faced, held off a star-studded chasing pack, including Scheffler, to win his second title in his 90th PGA TOUR start and his first individual stroke-play victory at the age of 27 years, five months, and nine days.

Nick Hardy, who partnered with Riley to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans earlier this year, also competed (T65, +7) and promptly congratulated his friend.

Morikawa, whose form has been improving lately, shot a 2-under 68 in the final round to finish alone in fourth at 8 under. Mike Weir (68), Sepp Straka (E), Koutchey (76), and Buckley (76) all tied for fifth at 5 under.

Pan (76) and Yu (77) placed T37 (+1) and T61 (+5), respectively, in the end.
