Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix FP2: Leclerc Fastest, Zhou Guanyu Seventh!

During the second practice session of the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc of the Ferrari F1 team set the fastest lap time with a 1 minute 24.809 seconds. Lando Norris from McLaren F1 and Max Verstappen from Red Bull F1 claimed second and third positions respectively. Zhou Guanyu of Alfa Romeo F1 delivered an impressive performance, securing seventh place. The rest of the top ten were Bottas, Perez, Russell, Zhou, Hamilton, Gasly, and Piastri.

As the second practice began, drivers rushed to the track to make the most of their testing time, especially as half of them did not participate in the first practice session.

Less than ten minutes into the session, Carlos Sainz of the Ferrari F1 team had an accident. Losing grip while cornering, his car hit the barriers along the track. With the car stranded, the session was red-flagged temporarily.

Twenty-five minutes after the restart, Kevin Magnussen of Haas F1 also had an incident, sliding and hitting the barriers with his car’s rear end. Another red flag was shown, leaving little time left in the session.

Upon resuming for the final 15 minutes, drivers had to hurry to complete their planned tests.
