According to multiple reporters, current FIA President Ben Sulayem has sustained a concussion from a fall. Consequently, he is currently under medical care. Though he will attend the F1 end-of-year ceremony in person, his role in the event will be significantly diminished.
Ironically, Sulayem was recently involved in an investigation concerning Mercedes F1 Team Principal Toto Wolff. This news could be seen as a response from journalists critiquing the FIA’s decisions.
