Williams has unveiled the livery for its FW46 Formula 1 car for the 2024 season, aiming to build on last year’s strong form.
Williams becomes the third team to show its 2024 livery, following McLaren and Haas, with an unveiling event at a Puma flagship store in the United States.
Like last year, the FW46 features Gulf Oil branding. The company partnered with Williams in 2023 and featured eye-catching Gulf liveries in Singapore, Japan, and Qatar.
Williams scored 28 points in the 2023 constructors’ championship, finishing seventh – its best result in recent years.
The team has now announced a multi-year agreement with Japanese construction machinery company Komatsu, which previously supported Sir Frank Williams’ outfit in the 1980s and ’90s, supplying transmission components for the title-winning cars of 1996 and 1997. Komatsu’s logo appears on the “modern tribute” livery of the FW46.

The FW46’s visual identity sees a shift from the traditional navy blue to a new “Williams Blue of the modern era,” complemented by red and white stripes, echoing the FW10 from 1985 and the championship-winning FW19 of 1997.
Williams retains the driver lineup of Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant for 2024. Albon secured 27 of the team’s points last year, playing a crucial role in their seventh-place finish. Sargeant, the American rookie, had his second season confirmed by the team after the conclusion of his debut campaign.
“Unveiling our 2024 car livery in such an iconic location in New York City is a significant milestone,” said Williams Team Principal James Vowles. “For months, the FW46 has been the focus of everyone at Grove, with huge efforts put into this year’s car. We aim to build on last season, and with Alex and Logan in our driver line-up, we have the ability to continue scoring points while also pushing for the future development of the team.
“Since joining Williams a year ago, I’ve seen a united team overcome challenges and secure a commendable seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship – something that means a lot to everyone. We’ve demonstrated that we’re laying the foundations for progress. We will continue to strengthen the team both on and off the track through improved infrastructure, investment in our people, and attracting great new partners like Komatsu.
“Of course, there’s still a long journey ahead, but I know that our fans, partners, and everyone at Grove are working together to create a new chapter in this iconic team’s history. It takes time, but everyone’s support is essential to our future success. I’m looking forward to seeing what this season brings.”
