Williams has unveiled the livery for its FW46 Formula 1 car for the 2024 season, aiming to build on last year’s strong performance.
Williams becomes the third team to showcase its 2024 livery, presenting the new colors at a Puma store in the United States.
Similar to last year, the FW46 features Gulf Oil elements. The company partnered with Williams in 2023 and adorned the car with eye-catching Gulf liveries in Singapore, Japan, and Qatar.
Williams scored 28 points in the 2023 constructors’ championship, finishing seventh – its best result in recent years.
The team has entered into a multi-year agreement with Japanese construction machinery company Komatsu, which previously supported Sir Frank Williams’ outfit in the 1980s and ’90s, including providing transmission components for the title-winning cars of 1996 and 1997. Komatsu’s branding is featured on the FW46’s “modern tribute” livery.

The FW46’s visual theme sees a shift from the traditional navy blue to a new “Williams Blue of the modern era,” complemented by red and white stripes, echoing the FW10 from 1985 and the championship-winning FW19 of Jacques Villeneuve in 1997.
Williams retains the driver lineup of Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant for this season. Albon secured 27 of the team’s points last year, playing a crucial role in their seventh-place finish. The American rookie’s second season was confirmed after the end of the 2023 campaign.
“Unveiling the 2024 race car livery in such an iconic location in New York City is a significant milestone,” said Williams Team Principal James Vowles. “For months, the FW46 has been the focus of the entire team at Grove, with everyone working tirelessly on this year’s car. We aim to build on last season’s progress, and our drivers, Alex and Logan, have the potential to consistently fight for points while contributing to our future development.
“Since joining Williams a year ago, I’ve seen the team come together, overcome challenges, and achieve a commendable seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship, which means a lot to everyone. We’ve demonstrated that we’re laying the groundwork for the future. We’ll continue to strengthen the team both on and off the track by improving infrastructure, investing in our people, and attracting excellent new partners like Komatsu.
“Of course, there’s still much work to be done, but I know our fans, partners, and everyone at Grove are united in their commitment to creating a new chapter in this iconic team’s history. It will take time, but everyone’s support is vital to our future success. I’m looking forward to seeing how we perform this season.”
