On June 16, local time, the ATP Stuttgart grass court tournament crowned its champion as British rising star Jack Draper rallied from a set down to overcome former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini in a thrilling 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-4 comeback victory, securing his first career ATP title.

In the early stages of the match, Berrettini dominated with his powerful serve, breaking Draper in the fourth game of the opening set and going on to win it 6-3. In the second set, Draper improved his serving and held serve throughout, forcing a tiebreak. There, he capitalized on a second-serve opportunity from Berrettini to secure a mini-break and level the score at 7-6(5). In the decisive third set, Draper seized upon a lapse in Berrettini’s serve in the seventh game to clinch the crucial break, before closing out the match with a love service game, firmly grasping the championship.
Draper had previously reached two ATP Tour finals but was unsuccessful in both. Entering this week as the sixth seed at the ATP 250 Stuttgart event, Draper fought through challenging matches to finally claim his maiden title.
