In the opener, both players held their serve to reach a tiebreak, where Tsitsipas initially led 5-1 but lost momentum, conceding three straight points to Gribšo, ultimately losing the tiebreak 8-10. The turning point came in the second set’s fifth game, when down 0-40 and facing triple break point, Tsitsipas executed an impressive save with a long-range retrieval, winning the game and gaining control. He went on to dominate, advancing to the next round with a 6-7(8)/6-3/6-2 victory. His next opponent will be Márton Fucsovics.
