“It was really windy today, and to be honest, it’s very tough to play in these conditions,” said Fritz after the match. “I usually do well here, but it’s hard to assess my performance today with such strong winds. I’m happy with my serving though.”

Fritz, who won the Eastbourne title in 2019 and 2022, is now aiming to become the tournament’s first three-time champion. He will face Australia’s Max Purcell in the semis, who edged Yasutaka Uchiyama 6-3/3-6/7-6(5).
In the other quarterfinals, wildcard entry Billy Harris, who reached the Queen’s Club quarterfinals last week, continued his surprise run by defeating Kecmanovic 6-7(3)/7-6(4)/6-2. Harris will next take on Australia’s Jason Kubler, who defeated Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3/7-6(4).
