Ex Xinjiang Import Creek: Chinese Basketball is Resilient, May Need Some Luck on FIBA Court

On June 22, former Xinjiang Men’s Basketball Team import, Creek, spoke with media personality @Detective_Basketball.

How did the Australian team perform well in FIBA competitions while the Chinese men’s team didn’t?

Creek: “I didn’t play for the Chinese national team and haven’t attended their trainings or discussions. Australian basketball highly values unity. We always say we’re in this together, like a boat where if one falls, four others lift them up. If you hit one of us, four teammates will respond. We stand united; when one goes down, we all support. Players come from different CBA teams, so when you come together, how united are you? Do you trust each other? Do I trust you? Do you trust me? That’s where it starts. If you trust each other in life and family, you’re on the right track.

I love Chinese basketball – very tough. Every time I played against the Chinese national team, I’d come out with a scar here, a cut there, even lost a tooth. Many games against China, high physical intensity – I enjoyed that. China is an incredibly strong nation, maybe just a bit of luck is needed, like Australia had in the last Olympics.
