Today, the Lakers officially announced that they have appointed JJ Redick as the team’s new head coach.
The Lakers held a press conference for Redick, during which General Manager Rob Pelinka spoke to the media.
When asked about the involvement of the team’s two star players in the coaching search, Pelinka stated:
“LeBron was very supportive of the team’s decision but chose not to be deeply involved in the coaching process. On the other hand, Anthony Davis elected to be fully engaged, and he is thrilled with today’s outcome. He is very happy that Redick is now at the helm of the team.”
