Despite China’s U17 men’s basketball team not advancing to the quarterfinals, Chinese rising star Zhang Boyuan secured a spot on the MVP shortlist due to his impressive performance.
In the previous round of 16 match where China’s U17 team lost to Lithuania 70-76, Zhang Boyuan shot 10 out of 22 and scored a game-high 28 points, along with 6 rebounds and 1 steal.
