On June 26th, the Japanese men’s basketball team announced its 16-player roster for the Olympics. Rui Hachimura and Yuta Watanabe have joined the squad.

In the Paris Olympics group stage, the Japanese men’s team is placed in Group B, alongside host France, Germany, and the winner from the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia.
