On June 27, it was revealed by renowned sports journalist Chris Haynes that the Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks are in discussions for a trade involving Andrew Wiggins and Bobby Portis, along with additional players to balance out salaries.
After becoming an All-Star and contributing to the Warriors’ 2022 NBA championship title, Wiggins’ performance dipped significantly last season, averaging just 12.2 points on 43% shooting from the field and 31% from beyond the arc. His defense also showed decline.
However, Wiggins remains an attractive option for contending teams seeking to bolster their defense due to his ability to guard multiple positions and disrupt passing lanes. The Bucks have been on the lookout for a player capable of stifling or slowing down opposing offenses, and Wiggins might fit that role.
As early as the trade deadline this year, insider Jake Fischer reported that the Bucks had shown interest in Wiggins but were cautious about the cost required to acquire him from Golden State.
Bogdanovic’s current contract has two years remaining, with a player option in the final year. In the previous 82-game regular season, the big man averaged 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
Warriors reportedly engaged in talks with Bucks for Wiggins-Bogdanovic swap; Milwaukee had interest earlier this year. Author:Sports UEFA.Please indicate the source when reproduced:https://www.sportsuefa.com/basketball-headlines/16621.html
