On July 9, according to media figure Chief Zhao, this year’s CBA draft will see the revival of the training camp, with Moke, Wang Shide, and Zhang Degui taking on roles as mentors. Chief Zhao’s original statement reads:
This year, the CBA draft has revived the training camp, scheduled from July 22 to 26 at the Shougang Park in Beijing. Chinese basketball luminaries Moke, Wang Shide, and Zhang Degui will serve as mentors for the camp.
Out of the 97 people registered for the draft, 47 will participate in the training camp, including names such as Xie Zhijie, Wang Fanwei, Wen Song, Wu Chao, and Yang Wenxue, among others. Online celebrity player Yang Zheng will be notably absent.
The CBA company stipulates that the training camp will be under closed management, with strict prohibitions against unauthorized outings or absences. Those who miss the draft training camp without special circumstances will be disqualified from participating in this year’s draft.
