The eliminated Chinese team fell to ninth place, while the USA remains at the top and Japan is at the bottom.

The group stage of the women’s basketball competition has concluded. The Chinese women’s basketball team was unfortunately eliminated due to a slight disadvantage in goal difference. In the latest power rankings, the Chinese women’s team dropped from fifth to ninth place, which is also their final ranking in these Olympics.

In its assessment of the overall performance of the Chinese women’s team, FIBA stated: The trajectory of the Chinese women’s team was determined by their first game, in which they lost to Spain in overtime and lost control. They then lost by 22 points to Serbia in the second game. Although they recovered with a big win over Puerto Rico in the third game, it was too late.

The reigning champion USA women’s basketball team continues to dominate at the top of the chart. Belgium surpassed France to rise to second place. France, Australia, Germany, Spain, Serbia, and Nigeria are ranked third through eighth, respectively. Among them, Germany climbed five spots, and the dark horse Nigeria rose four spots. Puerto Rico is ranked tenth, Canada eleventh, and the Japanese women’s team dropped three places, ranking last on the list.
