On August 4, Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green discussed Anthony Edwards on his podcast.
Green mentioned that as a substitute, Edwards averaged the highest points per game in the team with 16.6, while Durant averaged 16 points. These two carried most of the scoring load, which was not surprising. Edwards is still growing rapidly.
What I like the most is the embrace James, Curry, and Durant gave him, which symbolizes, in a sense, passing the keys of the team to him. As long as Edwards is on the court, he can dominate the game. I’m sure Edwards is an incredibly confident player, and I think this is why we all like him. When he said, “You all need to learn to adapt to me,” it wasn’t entirely a joke. He is very confident, almost arrogant, but everyone needs to understand that this arrogance is essential to achieving greatness.
