Lakers guard Reeves spoke to the media, discussing his plans for the offseason.
Reeves said, “Firstly, I want to get my upper body stronger. Last year, I didn’t have the chance to spend an entire summer bulking up and adding muscle. For this summer, that’s something I need to do. When I met with management at the end of the season, I discussed this with Pelinka, and he wants me to gain at least 5 pounds (approximately 2.27 kg). Adding muscle will help your defense and also give you more opportunities to draw 2+1 plays after contact around the basket. Building muscle is a primary task for this summer, but beyond that, I love basketball, I enjoy refining my skills, and I want to get better in every aspect.”
In the 2023-24 season, Reeves played all 82 regular-season games, averaging 32 minutes per game, scoring 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.
In five playoff games, Reeves averaged 34.8 minutes per game, scoring 16.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals.
