The Timberwolves are the only NBA team with players on both sides of the Olympic men's basketball final: USA's Edwards and France's Gobert

In the two Olympic men’s basketball semi-finals that concluded in the early hours of today, France defeated Germany, and the United States defeated Serbia, thus setting up a final between France and the United States.

Notably, the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves are the only team with players on both sides of the final. The Timberwolves will therefore secure an Olympic gold medal, with the U.S. team having Edwards and the French team having Gobert.

Also worth mentioning is that Batum played for the 76ers last season, and there is Embiid from the 76ers on the U.S. team, but Batum has transferred to the Clippers, so the 76ers only have Embiid participating in the Olympic final.

Leonard of the Clippers was previously named to the final roster of the U.S. team but withdrew due to injury, so the Clippers also have only Batum participating in the Olympic final.
