On August 8, previous reports stated: China’s national basketball team updated their Weibo account, announcing that four players, Cui Yongxu, Yang Hanshen, Zhao Rui, and Zeng Fanbo, had been granted leave from the training camp.
@Zhao Tanchang in the Basketball Circle posted an explanation of Cui Yongxu’s situation. The original post read as follows:
Among the four players who were granted leave, Cui Yongxu’s situation is somewhat special, so here’s what the Chief Investigator has to say about him.
As I understand it, Cui Yongxu reported to the Yun Nan Haigeng base early on August 5, and after his leave was approved, he returned to Guangzhou that night and then set off for the United States. He has now arrived and is preparing for the NBA pre-season training camp.
At the end of July, Cui Yongxu had to cut short his NBA Summer League journey due to injury and returned to China for nearly half a month of rest and recuperation. Currently, the injury to his calf has fully healed, although there is a minor issue with his foot, but it’s nothing serious.
Cui had previously been included in the national men’s basketball team training squad list, but ultimately, his ability to continue chasing his NBA dream deserves thanks to the support of the national team and the Guangzhou Loong-Lions team. Here’s wishing Cui all the best, hoping that this time will not disappoint everyone’s expectations.
