Sichuan Yunda Mele Women’s Basketball, playing at home, aims to win the title. As the WCBA champion, they have already secured two consecutive WCBA titles. The team boasts a luxurious lineup including current or former national team players such as Li Meng, Han Xu, Wang Siyu, Gao Song, and Tang Ziting, essentially forming the backbone of the Chinese women’s national basketball team.

During the off-season, Sichuan Women’s Basketball signed two more national team players, Zhang Manman and Jin Weina, further enhancing their strength. Additionally, despite the temporary absence of foreign player Cambage, Sichuan Women’s Basketball has signed former Australian national team player Abi Bishop. She has already registered for this competition. Bishop is 36 years old, 1.88 meters tall, and plays as a forward. Having played in the Australian league for a long time and frequently representing the national team, she possesses excellent skills. The frontcourt combination of her and Han Xu holds a clear advantage at the Asian club level.

Surabaya Fever is a powerhouse in the Indonesian women’s basketball league and is well-known throughout Southeast Asia. Their official social media describes them as “six-time undefeated champions of Indonesian women’s basketball,” having won multiple domestic league and tournament titles. The team is almost entirely made up of players from the Indonesian women’s national basketball team, demonstrating a certain level of strength. They secured their participation in this competition through qualifying matches. Veteran Agustin Retno performed excellently, averaging 7.6 assists per game. Surabaya Fever also has an American foreign player, Little, who stands 1.86 meters tall, making her the tallest player on the team.

In terms of strength, Sichuan Women’s Basketball, with numerous national team players and foreign players, clearly outclasses Surabaya Fever, especially in height advantage. Opposing players are generally around 1.7 meters tall, and with the added home court advantage, their goal is to secure a strong start to pave the way for their championship aspirations.
