Jiangsu KendallGee has officially signed foreign player contracts with American players Terquavion Smith and James Thompson. Once approved and announced by the CBA Company, the two foreign players will officially represent Jiangsu KendallGee in the new CBA season!

Terquavion Smith, born on December 31, 2002, is a typical combo guard. In 2023, Smith was signed by the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract. After playing 22 games in the G League, he was promoted to the NBA. Last season, Smith played 16 NBA regular-season games for the 76ers, averaging 5.3 minutes per game and scoring 3.3 points. He performed excellently in the 2023-24 G League season, averaging 22.8 points in 30.8 minutes of play, earning him a spot in the 2024 G League All-Rookie Team. Smith possesses strong three-point shooting ability, averaging over 10 three-point attempts per game in the G League while maintaining a stable shooting percentage. His addition will effectively address the team’s shortcomings in perimeter shooting.

James Thompson, born on January 18, 1995, represented the Russian team Samara in the 2023-24 VTB League (VTB United League), achieving a two-point field goal percentage of 63.4%. Unlike traditional centers, James has outstanding athletic abilities, strong finishing skills, and maintains a stable shooting percentage while excelling at rebounding. His arrival will enhance the team’s finishing ability in the paint to some extent.
