Media Figure: CBA to Hold New Season Press Conference and Draw for the CBA Club Cup Group Stages This Afternoon

On September 26, media figure @ZhaoTanzhang posted about the upcoming press conference for the new season of the CBA and the draw for the CBA Club Cup. The original post reads as follows:

This afternoon, the official CBA league will hold its press conference for the new season. The CBA Club Cup group draw, which everyone is looking forward to, will take place during the press conference. Twenty teams will be divided into four groups, with five teams in each group.

The CBA Club Cup will be held in a tournament format, split into two stages. The first stage will occur during the first window period of the league season, with group matches taking place across four venues, where the top two teams from each group will advance to the final stage. The second stage will happen during the second window period of the league season, also conducted in a tournament format at the venue, culminating in the determination of the ultimate champion.

Tanzhang mentioned earlier that, as a competition born on the occasion of the CBA’s 30th birthday, the establishment of the CBA Club Cup is very significant. It not only enriches the CBA’s competition system and attracts more commercial investment but most importantly, it utilizes the window periods effectively, allowing more young players to have games to play, and the prize money is quite attractive! This is a good thing.
