Ball: Must Control Playing Time Throughout the Season, Current Limit is 16 Minutes

According to The Athletic, Lonzo Ball, who returned to the NBA court after 1006 days, said in an interview that although his body has changed significantly, he still believes he can contribute on the court.

Ball stated, “I have to control my playing time throughout the entire season, that’s just the reality. Hopefully, it will increase gradually, but right now, my limit is 16 minutes. It can’t be more than that.”

“I think the most important thing is to believe in myself. I know how I feel, and I know that at my age (turning 27 this month), I can still come back. I just need to trust the doctors and everyone around me.”

“But looking back at the recovery process, it was much faster than I expected. I had three surgeries, and they told me it would take 18 months to recover. At the time, it seemed crazy, but now, I’m back, and everything is behind me. So I’m really happy now.”

“No doubt, the game will be very different for me. My body is not the same as it used to be, but I believe I can still be efficient and productive on the court. That’s why I keep playing. My goal is simple: get out there and help the team win.”
