On October 20, 2024, in the fourth round of the regular season of the 2024-2025 CBA League, during the game between Shanxi Fenjiu Brave Dragons Club and Shenzhen New Century Leopards Club Marco Polo Team (hereinafter referred to as “Shenzhen Marco Polo Team”), Player No. 24 Ren Junwei and Player No. 34 Thomas Otel of the Shenzhen Marco Polo Team wore game attire that did not match the uniform style of the entire team. After post-game verification, it was determined that Ren Junwei and Thomas Otel violated the dress code regulations during the game.

In order to maintain league discipline, according to Article 34 of Chapter 2 of the China Men’s Professional Basketball League Discipline Guidelines (hereinafter referred to as the Discipline Guidelines), Player Ren Junwei and Player Thomas Otel of the Shenzhen Marco Polo Team are each fined 20,000 RMB. The payment of the fines shall be processed in accordance with Article 13 of Chapter 1 of the Discipline Guidelines.
