On October 21, the CBA announced the best players of the first week of the regular season, with Hu Jinqiu from Guangsha and Jones from Jilin winning the titles.
Hu Jinqiu played in all 4 games this week, leading Guangsha to a perfect 4-0 record. He averaged 33 minutes per game, scoring 24.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal, with a shooting accuracy of 70.5% and a free-throw accuracy of 87.5%. In terms of three-point shooting, he continued his good form from last season, hitting 5 out of 8 three-pointers in the first four games. Upon returning to Jilin Men’s Basketball Team, Jones delivered a comprehensive performance in the first game of the new season, recording 32 points, 16 rebounds, 15 assists, and 6 steals. In the following 3 games, Jones scored over 40 points in each, including two games where he achieved a “triple-double” with over 40 points.
